$11,500

This is an excellent 40 hole arch top tone ring two piece flange pre World War Two Gibson Mastertone. I built the reproduction neck for the owner around 35 years ago.

All metal parts are original to the banjo with the exception of the armrest. The original was missing. It was replaced with a reproduction armrest engraved and plated for this project. This style 5 has the smaller 1/4" diameter coordinator rods.

The neck rod is adjustable one way.  Adjustment is accessed at the heel of the neck. The truss rod cover in the peghead is decorative to match the original appearance. This is the rod we used in all our necks up to around 10 - 12 years ago. It works as it should. The neck relief is proper.

The finish and frets are in very good condition.  The banjo looks untouched from when this project was delivered to my customer 30 years ago.

The original neck was not included when this banjo was purchased by my customer for the conversion to 5 string.

The banjo comes with a new hard shell case.
